? about Niagara Falls

We are traveling to the Falls in the summer of 2014. We are coming from MA. I have been reading all the reviews and I am wondering if you all think its worth staying on the Canadian side and walking across and sigh seeing in NY. I dont want to change hotels and it sounds like the NY side will suit us much better but I wonder if we just stay on the Canada side to get the views from our room... thoughts?

Both sides now
by: kerry

You have to see both sides of the falls to experience the whole picture. The Canadian side is more carny, has more people, and there is more to do.The American side is more, historic, and quaint.

Visit both sides

You will want to visit both sides of the river. The Canadian side has better straight on views of the falls. The US side has more places where you can get close to the brink. If you want a hotel that is walking distance from the falls, stay on the Canadian side.

Canadian Side + Walking to US Side
by: World of Waterfalls

In the past, we've stayed on the Canadian side (yes, you do see the falls from the hotel room - see photos), then we drove to the US side with passports ready.

We haven't walked across the Rainbow Bridge to the US side, but we always see people on the bridge so my guess is that it can't be that unusual. You just have to allow for the time to do the walking.

Hope this helps.
