Asia: When is the best time to visit?

Foggy morning

When is the best time to visit
Asia - especially its waterfalls?

Unfortunately, you're talking about an incredibly large landmass that stretches as far north as the northern tips of Siberia, as far south as the equator around Indonesia, as far east as the Bering Strait almost face-to-face with Alaska and the North American continent, and as far west as India, Western China, and the Caucasian Mountains of Russia. So given such a large area to cover, we'll need to break down the answer to specific chunks depending on which part of Asia you're talking about.

To narrow this even further, we're going to discuss only the regions that we've been to when it comes to waterfalling and where we think we can confidently extrapolate what we know into places with similar climates (even though we haven't been to those places).

But if you had to choose a particular period of time to go waterfalling that can apply to just about all of Asia, based on our experiences, I would say late Summer and Autumn are ideal!

You'll see why in a minute so let's get right to it.
