Fitzroy Falls is perhaps the star waterfall attraction of the Kiama District and is the centerpiece of Morton National Park. Flowing on Yarrunga Creek, it plunges 81m over a precipitous sandstone escarpment into Yarrunga Valley. There are numerous overlooks allowing you to experience this waterfall and the Yarrunga Valley so I reckon this is probably as close to a must-see waterfall as you're going to get this side of New South Wales.Given the popularity of this attraction, there is a self-pay car park. Once you walk past the visitor center, you can take the cliff-top walks which branch off in both directions as it skirts the rim of the escarpment around the impressive falls. One of the paths takes you to another overlook yielding more satisfying views of the falls. Plus, there are more waterfalls as well as gorge access if you continue to walk further. There are also interpretive signs along these walks to keep you occupied while learning more about the local ecosystem.
