King George Falls

King George Falls

King George Falls is a dual waterfall that has an uninterrupted vertical drop of over 80m, making it the tallest waterfall in the state. Unless you've managed to make arrangements to see the falls by boat, your best bet is to take an aerial tour. A good one to take is the Mitchell Falls Explorer, which is based in Kununurra and gives you some time to see
Mitchell Falls as well as this waterfall. It will be on the afternoon leg of the tour.

This waterfall will not be easy to photograph due to the shadows induced by the recesses of its own gorge that tend to shroud the falls (see photos on this page). You'll probably need to be here when it's cloudy (such as the Wet Season) if you want to get decent photos of the falls.
