There is an updated writeup of this waterfall on a different page, which you can read by clicking here
Sherrard Falls was a surprise roadside waterfall as we wound our way along the curvy roads of the Dorrigo Mountains.
In fact, we were looking for Crystal Shower Falls
when we happened to stumble upon this waterfall as we missed the turnoff we were supposed to take. So given this little bit of a surprise, I managed to find a pullout somewhere around the falls as I was doubling back. I don't remember exactly where I stopped the car, but I do recall making a U-turn (might have done it at the car park by Newell Falls
In any case, there's no official car park for the falls so under most normal circumstances, this is a drive-through attraction. But if you do manage to do what we did and find one of the informal shoulders or pullouts not far from the falls, you then have to walk alongside the road (note you're walking essentially on the road's shoulder as it's not designed for pedestrians) to improve your viewing angle. Be mindful of the traffic if you do this.
Sherrard Falls is sandwiched between Crystal Shower Falls
and Newell Falls
along the Waterfall Way (you might have already inferred this from the description above). It's about about 7km south of the town centre of Dorrigo.
