Braeburn Falls

Return walking time 1.5 to 2 hours. Walking Track This pretty fall is located in the Nelson Lakes Region of South Island. To get there turn off SH6 at Gowan Bridge and follow the sealed road to the small hamlet of Rotoroa. At Rotoroa turn right onto Braeburn Track. After perhaps 0.5km there is a small parking area on the right, and the track to the falls is opposite. The first section of the track follows a former access road above the unseen shore of Lake Rotoroa. The track eventually climbs and leads upwards and has some moderately steep sections before reaching the viewpoint for the falls. There is a loop track through wetlands for the return to the parking area.
