Kalihiwai Falls is a multi-tiered waterfall on a tributary that feeds the Kalihiwai River. Since the best view of the falls sits on private land, you'll have to book a horseback ride which follows the river on its east bank. You might also be able to kayak here, but that might draw the ire from the owners of the land who want you to take the horseback tour.
Having already paid for another tour to a waterfall, we opted not to pay for this one. So, we settled for a rather unsatisfactory view of the falls from the Hwy 56 bridge with cars whizzing by at over 50mph. It's unnerving to say the least, but at least we could say we bagged this one.
