Arbaejarfoss (Arbæjarfoss; I think is pronounced "AR-bye-yar-foss") is one of those waterfalls where I wasn't sure if there was an official way to visit it. The photograph above was the view we got when we didn't think we would be trespassing nor would drive any more dodgier 4wd tracks over sharp rocks. We thought any other view would've required us to go into someone's yard or to go through a graveyard. And even to get the view we got, there was one really scary patch of rocky road full of sharp volcanic rocks. It made us wonder if we were supposed to have driven there at all instead of just walking.
Directions: In any case, the approach we took was via a pair of unsigned turnoffs roughly 4km northeast along Route 271, which left the Ring Road about 1km north of Hella. Like Ægissufoss, this waterfall was also on the Ytri-Rangá River, which route 271 followed.
