The Eastern Ring Road Waterfalls page is where I'm putting a collection of surprise waterfalls we stumbled upon as we made the long drive from Reykjalið near Mývatn to Egilsstaðir (both along the Ring Road and also on a detour off that road). While it's easy to dismiss roadside waterfalls as being ephemeral or just a not-so-extraordinary waterfall, the ones shown here were simply too big to ignore. We could've easily taken more photos of other waterfalls along here if there were more roadside pullouts and signs, which I think is indicative of how waterfalls can easily be taken for granted here.
Directions: The stretch of road covered on this page is the Ring Road between its junction with Route 923 (111km east of Reykjalið) and its junction with Route 925 (about 21km west of Egilsstaðir).
