Geitafoss is a smaller but no-less-powerful waterfall just downstream from the popular Goðafoss waterfall. We noticed there was a scrambling trail leading to a shelf affording a closer look at the falls, but we were content to see the falls from the walking bridge over Skjálfandafljót.
We walked from the east bank, but it looked like there was a rope ladder on the west bank providing perhaps an even closer and more intimate look at the falls.
