Grundarfoss
 Grundarfoss is an impressive plunging waterfall near the town and fjord of Grundarfjörður on the northern side of the Snæfellsnes Peninsula. Being visible from road 574, we noticed it about 1.5km east of the town of Grundarfjörður when we drive from Ólafsvík to Stykkishólmur to catch our ferry to the Westfjords. The view you see in the photo above is from the road. I'm sure there might have been an access road to get closer to the falls, but in our haste not to miss our ferry to the Westfjords that morning, we couldn't chance it!
