Kerlingarfoss (pronounced "KEHRT-ling-ur-foss") I believe is the waterfall neighboring Svöðufoss in the shadow of the imposing Snæfellsjökull Glacier. I'm not actually sure if this is the falls or not because all I had to go on was my GPS and map, but I failed in trying to get a closer look at the falls as all the accesses off of Route 574 seemed to stop well short of the falls thanks to a private farm preventing further access.
Apparently, there was a rougher trail or 4wd path behind the top of the falls, but we didn't try that option out.
Directions: The view you see on this page was obtained along an unsigned rough unsealed road about 3.5km west of Ólafsvík along one of the rough, unpaved spur roads off of Route 574.
