Litlanesfoss was the attractive waterfall we saw near the half-way point of the hike to Hengifoss (about 1.2km from the car park of the 2.5km overall hike). We thought this could've easily been a standalone attraction with its height and surrounding basalt columns. I had even read in the literature that some people think this was even more interesting than its taller counterpart further up the cliff. Well, we're not so sure about that assessment, but in any case, we defintitely used this waterfall as an excuse to take a breather during the seemingly long and relentless uphill hike. Directions: This waterfall shares the same car park as that of Hengifoss. See that page for details.
