The other Eastfjords Waterfalls page is where we're putting waterfalls we saw along the way from Egilsstaðir to Höfn as well as the fjords just north of Egilsstaðir. Admittedly, this seems like a pretty random page, but we only saw one major waterfall (which we stopped for; I think is called Hamarsafoss) in the remote southeast part of Iceland along the Ring Road and a rather obscure one at Vopnafjörður. Most of the others were either too ephemeral or difficult to photograph (i.e. we didn't stop for them). So there are definitely more waterfalls than what's photographed here. In the case of the lower Eastfjords, it's quite apparent that there isn't a whole lot of infrastructure (as evident by the abundance of abandoned farms) on this part of the country so tourists (like us) generally pass right through here.
Directions: The Eastfjords part is along the Ring Road and is pretty straightforward. The waterfall I think might be called Hamarsafoss (see the top of this page) is about 95km south of Egilsstaðir.
We'll punt you over to our Draugafoss for directions to the waterfall near Vopnafjörður.
