Rjukandi (Rjúkandi) is what I believe this waterfall is called (at least according to my maps). This was just one of those incidental waterfalls we noticed while we were touring the Snæfellsnes Peninsula. It was easily noticeable as we drove by on the Route 574, but I wasn't sure if the road to get closer to the falls was official or not. In fact, we weren't even sure if we were on someone's driveway or not.
Directions: This waterfall is easily noticeable about 3.5km east of Ólafsvík along Route 574. We took a turnoff in front of the falls to get a closer look, but that was when the issue of trespassing became a concern.
For directions on getting to Ólafsvík, see our Bæjarfoss page.
