Thjofafoss (or more accurately Þjófafoss, which I think is pronounced "THJOH-fuh-foss"); not to be confused with the falls by Mt. Burfell) is just downstream from Hundafoss. Notice that if you look closely at the photograph above, you can see part of Hundafoss in the background. I thought this was a rather obscure waterfall because we could've very easily have ignored it if it wasn't for me noticing it on our map (we counted one more waterfall than what we had seen on the Svartifoss trail).
In fact, this waterfall wasn't even visible from that trail. Instead, we had to go on what I was calling the "Cheater's Way" (see the Svartifoss page for why) where we had to go up a narrow road single-lane road with a handful of hairpin turns.
Directions: Follow the general directions to the Skaftafell Visitor Center on our Svartifoss page. But instead of stopping the car at the Visitor Center, keep going west on the road to Hæðir. The viewpoint of the falls was at the first switchback past the bridge.
