The Waterfall by Hólaskol was stumbled upon accidentally by us while we were on our Landmannalaugur Tour from Kirkjubæjarklaustur. The driver made a stop the guesthouses here and that's when we noticed a big waterfall hidden in the adjacent gorge. So after coming back here on our own, we managed to get a better look at the falls, which is not easy to view since it's deep in the gorge and difficult to get a clean look without getting dangerous close to the cliff. Still, it's a very lovely waterfall nonetheless. To get here from Klaustur, go 28km west on the Ring Road until you reach the signed junction for route 208. From there, go about 30km connecting along routes 208, 247, and 239 (which is by the way the Fjallabak Route leading to both Eldgjá and Landmannalaugur from the east).
