Kahiwa Falls from the sea - Hawai'i's tallest waterfall

Kahiwa Falls, Hawai'i's tallest consistent waterfall during the Hurricane John trip. Amporn is wearing a shirt for wind protection. Excuse the quality - this shot is from a 1995 slide.

Kahiwa Falls
by: John "Caveman" Grray

I'm sure the "Kawika falls" is a typo. I remember it as Kahiwa Falls. I'm homeless right now, with all my books in boxes I cannot find, but when I find "Place Names in Hawai'i" I will verify the spelling. In the meantime, ignore "Kahiwa" and look for my new Haloku waterfalls show. I will put it up now.

Aha!
by: World of Waterfalls

When we did a flight from West Maui to Moloka'i (I know, I know, it's not the most agreeable form of touring), it was hard for us to discern this waterfall from the many others of similar thinness.

Thanks for sharing this picture! I think you've shed a little more light about this waterfall, especially since we wondered about its existence after our tour.
