Chorro Negro

The lower Chorro Negro

Chorro Negro ("Black Falls") is a thin wispy waterfall you can see in pieces on separate walks to the
Catarata Gocta. The trail from San Pablo yields a view of the upper part of the falls while the trail from Cocachimba yields a view of the lower part of the falls. Despite the thin appearance of the falls, the locals guides were quick to point out that due to the lush jungle maintaining moisture in the area, the falls does indeed flow year round.
