"Happiness Pool"

The so-called Happiness Pool

The "Happiness Pool" was so named by our
Angel Falls tour guide. Since I can't figure out if it has a more formal name, I stuck with his suggestion. In any case, this waterfall is visible not long after relaunching the boat into the Carrao River just upstream from the Mayupa Rapids. In our case, we visited this falls on the way back from Angel Falls for an opportunity to get wet under a waterfall. A couple of fellow mates from our tour group actually went partway up the waterfall before walking through the curtain of water and disappeared behind it. It's a pretty cool photo opportunity, but there's not a whole lot else to this roughly 5-10m waterfall.

Directions: We saw this waterfall automatically as part of our Angel Falls tour. I'm not sure if other tours would stop by this one or if it was specific to our tour or if it was up to whim of our tour guide.
