It's really a shame that the helicopters fly around this wonderful falls all day long as it breaks the otherwise natural silence of the valley. Helicopters make a fun ride but are a horrible source of noise pollution in Hawaii. They are also an invasion of privacy and many pilots fly below the legal floor altitude of 1,500 feet. Potential wind shear in the valley also makes this unsafe. Accidents have occurred.
