"Ketetahi Hut Falls" is a name I'm assigning to this interesting waterfall that I was surprised to find while tramping the Tongariro Crossing. Sometimes the stream responsible for this waterfall runs hot as it's fed by hot springs near the Ketetahi Hut. By the way, these hot springs are on private Maori land and there are numerous signs prohibiting bathing in the pools. Failure to heed these signs will jeopardize the continued public use of the Tongariro Crossing route.
