The Haast Pass Waterfalls will overwhelm you with their sheer quantities as you drive through the Haast River Valley between Haast and the Gates of Haast. In fact, you could find it too difficult to even identify just a few of them when you see several of them flowing at once. Such a situation occurred during my visit to the area in November 2004.
