Shine Falls is the reward for going off the beaten path a little between Napier and Wairoa. With a little imagination, you might think this impressive 58m waterfall looks like a hooded figure, which makes it so unique and memorable. Even the 2-hour return hike is memorable as you'll find yourself hiking amongst sheep in a large grassy area backed by windswept cliffs as well as walking between native growth in the Boundary Stream Scenic Reserve.
