Feigefossen plunges some 218m on the east wall of the Luster Fjord (Lustrafjorden) as it towers over the private residences near its base. It's considered the second highest of the remaining unregulated free-falling waterfall in Norway behind Vettisfossen. You can easily see it in its entirety from Rv55 across the fjord. However, you can also take a small road that hugs the eastern shores of the fjord towards a car park, where you can hike up a steep trail towards the base of the falls. Just be careful to follow the signs and walk along the road until you see the trail by its watercourse. Don't trespass into the private residences. Once you find the trail, it's another 30 to 45 minutes of relentless uphill hiking. You might also notice this waterfall might also be spelled Feigumfossen. Even the signs around the falls can't agree on a convention here as you'll find them spelled both ways.
