Grongstadfossen is said to be one of the Høylandet municipality's tallest waterfalls at 75m. It's a short unpaved detour off the Rv17 near the township of Høylandet, which itself is a 14km detour along the Rv775 off the E6 artery (watch for sheep on this road though!). When we visited this waterfall, there were swarms of wasps at the lookout for the falls. None of them stung me, but it was nerve-wracking to say the least. The picnic table that was there sure wasn't about to get used under these conditions! The view itself is partially obstructed by trees so you only get to see its uppermost sections. I'm not sure if access to get closer to the falls is available but there were additional trails that left the lookout area.
