Laukelandsfossen is a very attractive and wide waterfall tumbling into the Dals Fjord (Dalsfjorden). The view you see in the photograph above was from across that fjord along a county road (see below for directions). The falls is said to tumble some 120m in height on Storelva (said to be a protected river so it should have fairly reliable flow).
Even though this waterfall kind of sits alone in the Førde/Gaular Loop through the so-called Waterfall Country, we thought the scenery en route to here definitely made this detour worthwhile. For adding to the scenery, there were a couple of shapely mountains serving as interesting backdrops. These mountains included Laukelandshesten (the Laukeland Horse) and Mt Kringla.

We did have to take our time to find a suitable pullout however as there didn't seem to be an obvious one that we should stop at. En route to the Rv57, there's also a waterfall along the way in Osfossen.
