The Simadalsfjorden and Simadalen Waterfalls are basically a catchall term I'm using to lump the groups of waterfalls we saw while we were driving along the Simadal Fjord and the Simadal Valley just east of the scenic township of Eidfjord. Most of these waterfalls were of the ephemeral variety, but there was something to be said when you have heaps of these waterfalls coming down one after another.
Though the most notable of the waterfalls here is Skykkjedalsfossen, you can see on this page that there are a bunch of other falls you're likely to see upon a visit here.
Although I haven't done this myself, there is a worthy cliff-hugging farm to visit called Kjeåsen in Simadalen. It may not be waterfall-related, but it definitely gives you a birds-eye view of the area. Maybe we'll do this next time...
Directions: Eidfjord is about 68km north of Odda on the Rv13. The stretch of road from which we saw the waterfalls you see on this page comes from a country road directly east of Eidfjord along the fjord's southern shore. Further directions are also given in the Skykkjedalsfossen page.
