Strondsfossen is yet another tall waterfall (allegedly 500m) found in Oddadalen (any wonder why they call the Odda Valley the Valley of Waterfalls?). This one sat across from the beautiful lake Sandvinvatnet ("SAHND-vin-vaht-nuh") which had some wildflowers blooming during our cloudy visit bringing some color to the landscape. I also noticed in Norgesglasset that this waterfall might also be referred to as Strandsfossen (seems like many of Norway's waterfalls have different spellings or multiple names).
While we were checking out this waterfall, we turned around and were surprised by seeing another waterfall way up the side of the valley. That waterfall happened to be Tjørnadalsfossen.
Directions: From Rv13, we were able to see the falls from various angles across the lake. However, there was a spur road that led towards the lake leading to a wide open area where we were able to get out of the car and take photos. We stopped roughly 4 or 5km north of Vidfoss. It's also roughly 5km south of Odda.
