Svandalsfossen

Svandalsfossen

Svandalsfossen is a rather loud and voluminous waterfall conspicuously falling roadside. There was a road bridge that allowed us to walk beneath it so we could see the lower parts of the turbulent cascade up close. However, once we were back on the road bridge itself (where we think you get the best views), I realized that we needed a wide angle lens as well as a cloth to keep the spray off the lens (neither of which I had at the time).

Right across the fjord, we noticed another voluminous waterfall that I think is called Safossen.

Directions: We found this waterfall while driving along Rv520 just minutes south of the town of Sauda. There was a pullout on the fjord side of the road where the walking path under the bridge started. It's about 9km north of Hongavikfossen.
