Vedalsfossen is a very tall waterfall deep in the narrow and steep Hjølmo Valley (Hjølmodalen). It starts of as an attractive double-barreled waterfall plunging off a cliff before cascading to the base of the valley.Although seeing this waterfall doesn't require hiking, driving the road through Hjølmodalen is not for everyone. The road is an unpaved, steep, and very narrow single-lane road. You will share the confined road with sheep so don't be in a rush. When traffic comes the other way, at least one of you will have to find one of the pullouts to let the other pass. I believe the convention is if you're going downhill, you let the person going uphill pass. I'm not sure if people are aware of this or if they choose not to follow, but it gives you an idea of what you're up against while driving this road.
