Vidfoss is an attractively wide yet tall waterfall tumbling down the east-facing cliffs of Odda Valley (Oddadalen) just north of the famous Låtefossen. It's viewable from Rv13 in a large open area so you can't miss it. You may find some nearby pullouts or shoulders so you can get out of the car and get a less hasty view of the falls. This waterfall is particularly memorable (especially considering it competes with the other Oddadalen Waterfalls for your attention) not only because of its size, but it's also because of its unusual fanning out shape as it tumbles down towards the valley floor. I believe the falls is fed by the melting glacial ice of the vast Folgefonn Glacier (Folgefonna) so this waterfall should have reliable flow year round. Another quirky thing about this waterfall is that it's not normally called "Vidfossen" like most other Norwegian waterfalls. I'm not sure why this is so, but it seems to get the same nomenclature treatment that the grand Langfoss gets.
