The Shepperd's Dell Waterfall would probably escape the attention of many visitors if not for the signposted bridge and attractively rugged gorge right below it. You wouldn't know a waterfall is there (except for maybe an obstructed profile view of one of the upper waterfalls) until you pull over at the pullout and walk to the edge of the bridge where you look down at this pretty legitimate falls. There's a slick walking path that takes you to the bank of the creek. Otherwise, this is a pretty quick roadside stop.
Directions: Look for the Shepperd's Dell along the Historic Columbia River Hwy between the Bridal Veil Scenic Area (1 mile to the east) and Latourell Falls (2 miles west). The nearest exit off the I-84 is the Bridal Veil exit.
