Ben,

I'm not how it can be quantified which tourism revenue was for waterfall purposes and which ones were for beaches, wildlife, casinos, theme parks, food & wine, history, etc.

Even in the case of Yosemite, how could you quantify if a tourist was going there for waterfalls vs. photographing cliffs or rock climbing, etc. What if the intentions were mixed? How would you quantify the dollar amounts?

I guess you can still get ballpark estimates by getting numbers from officials at obvious cases like Niagara Falls, Iguazu Falls, Victoria Falls, Plitvice Lakes, Angel Falls, Kaieteur Falls, etc.

But I'm sure these would be lowballing the real number (by country, etc.) since there's many more waterfalls than these, but it's hard to decouple waterfall touring when it's mixed in with other reasons for traveling.
