Waterfalls of the South Grand Loop (Madison/Norris/Old Faithful/Yellowstone Lake)

Grand Prismatic Spring as seen from the Fairy Falls Trail

The waterfalls in the South Grand Loop are sprinkled amongst the geyser basins, which dominate this section of the park.

They include attractions such as Old Faithful Geyser, Morning Glory Pool, Grand Prismatic Spring, and even the erratic Steamboat Geyser. On the southeast corner of the park, Yellowstone Lake dominates the area with its deep blue lake separating the Grand Loop from the remote Thoroughfare region.

Amongst the waterfalls sprinkled in this interesting landscape are Fairy Falls, Mystic Falls, and the strangely alluring Gibbon Falls.
