This Okinawa Waterfalls page focuses on just the waterfalls within the islands that make up the Okinawa Prefecture of Japan. I decided to separate out Okinawa because it’s geographically closer to Taiwan than the main island of Japan (Honshu), and in a way, I tend to think of it in much the same way I think of Hawaii’s relationship with the United States.

Thus far, we only have a humble sampling of waterfalls on just the main island of Okinawa, but we’re hopeful to return to this group of islands and chase waterfalls on its other islands.
