The Great Britain Waterfalls page is where we pay homage to the collection of waterfalls that we’ve managed to visit and share through our waterfalls write-ups. From looking at the waterfall map above, you can see that we have experienced waterfalls all over the British Isles.

We have so many waterfalls in this survey that we’ve provided subregions in England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland to better focus some of our extensive waterfall adventures into specific parts of the UK. And speaking of the many waterfalls we’ve experienced, we also have a Top 10 Best Great Britain Waterfalls to showcase the waterfalls that have impressed us the most.

But before we delve a little deeper on the topic of waterfalls in this region, we have to clear up some things first (believe me, you’ll save yourself from offending millions of people if you have this stuff cleared up). First of all, notice that this page pertains to the region of Great Britain as it’s more of a geographical region and not a country. The country or political entity is actually the United Kingdom (or UK for short), which as of 2014 (post Scottish referendum) is really a conglomeration of the countries (or kingdoms) of England, Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland.

Anyways, for the purposes of this website, this web page refers to the island of Great Britain (including Northern Ireland) and all the waterfalls we’ve visited within it. The Republic of Ireland does have a separate page, and while that other page excludes Northern Ireland, its corresponding Top 10 Waterfalls page does include NI.

And finally, we have to re-iterate that each waterfall we have write-ups for (as shown on this page) has all the information you need to plan your trip as we feature detailed descriptions, driving directions, maps, photographs, videos, and nearby attractions.
