Iceland's East Region Waterfalls
This page focuses on the Iceland Waterfalls residing in the East Region (Austurland), which happens to be one of the country’s least populated regions. That said, this place held quite a few waterfall surprises, including the country’s third tallest permanent waterfall.
As you can see from the waterfall map above, we still have more to explore, especially given how much the landscape had changed since the completion of the controversial Kárahnjúkar Dam. In the mean time, browse through this page and take a virtual tour of the East Iceland Waterfalls.
