Italy Waterfalls
Italy Waterfalls take a back seat to the rich history and culture that the country is most known for. So this means that Italy’s Waterfalls also present opportunities to see a more authentic and Naturesque part of the country that most tourists (mostly chasing famous cities like Rome, Florence, Siena, and Venice) exclude from their itineraries.
So this page focuses on the waterfalls in the country, and as you can see from the waterfall map above and the listing further below, we have seen our share of them. However, they’re largely concentrated in the mountainous north of the country.
Therefore, we recognize that we have a lot more of these waterfalls to experience, but we’ll have to do that over repeated trips given how far we had to drive away from the cities to reach the legitimate ones.
In the mean time, have a look at our humble sampling of Italian waterfalls to get a sense of the logistics involved as well as to learn more about the parts of Italy not commonly part of the tourist crush.
