Waterfalls of Central Norway and How To Visit Them

Central Norway Waterfalls

Central Norway Waterfalls Map

The Central Norway Waterfalls page encompasses the Norwegian counties of Buskerud, Oppland, Sør-Trøndelag, and Nord-Trøndelag. I tended to think of this region as the gateway to the north of Norway even though we’re really talking about a large chunk of the inner (i.e. away from the fjords to the west) Norwegian real estate.

While the Norwegian Fjords deservedly gets most of the attention as far as tourism is concerned, this section showcases the waterfalls that we’ve been to that may be overlooked as a result. As you can see in the waterfall map above and the listings below, such Central Norway Waterfalls are more scattered and less concentrated.

So this at least gives you an excuse to explore these more obscure parts of the country and especially its Nature.
