Oceania and the South Pacific Waterfalls
This Oceania Waterfalls page pertains to the waterfalls we’ve visited in the South Pacific Ocean. For the purposes of this website, we cover a very large chunk of the earth stretching from the east of the Indian Ocean, the south of the equator, and off the west coast of South America.
This region is dominated by the waterfalls in Australia and New Zealand, but we also include smaller, idyllic (almost paradisical) South Pacific Island Nations sprinkled throughout the ocean as well.
To keep the geographical divisions simple, I’ve opted to keep countries of Indonesia, Malaysia, and the island groups of Melanesia (though I’m still on the fence about Papua New Guinea or PNG) in the Asia Region, but you could argue that they, too, belong in this page.
Anyways, in our experiences, some of our most special and memorable moments took place in this vast ocean-dominated continent.
Indeed, waterfalling in Oceania was like an exercise in finding gems well off the beaten path. Therefore, this ensures that our waterfall experiences here made up some of our most unique and unforgettable moments that we’ve ever had while on travel.
And so by sharing our experiences, we may open more eyes to the hidden treasures that await intrepid adventurers…
