Bear Creek Canyon Falls

Bear Creek Canyon Falls can be viewed from state highway 35 north of Mimbres a short distance before the turnoff to Bear Creek Canyon Reservoir. Bear Creek flows into the Mimbres River closeby. There are orchards in the Mimbres River valley near the falls. Bear Creek at the falls may be dry depending on what time of the year and the snowmelt if any. The monsoon season of late July and August may be a good time to see the falls as shown in the photo. There is no parking or pulloff from the highway and it is fenced around the area with no trail or observation area for the falls.
