These falls were at Window Rock veterans memorial park during a heavy rainstorm. They are ephemeral in that they are temporary, in this case very short lived. You can also see the large natural sandstone arch at this location. If you stand just in the right location on the circular walkway through the park and with a clear daytime sky, the opening in the rock looks like a huge robin’s egg. There are picnic tables and a ramada in the park. It so happened that I witnessed these falls and the other ephemeral falls north of Ft. Defiance during the week of heavy rains that flooded areas in Colorado and New Mexico.
