falls north of Coal Bank Pass from highway 550

falls at highway 550 north of Coal Bank Pass falls north of Coal Bank Pass in 3D

These falls are visible from the highway on a very sharp curve north of Coal Bank Pass.

Whether they are on Coal Creek or Deer Creek; not certain which, but definitely one or the other.

As a side note, if you were to follow Coal Creek on downstream to Lime Creek Canyon road from this point (not a good idea with no trail) and hike on down from Lime Creek Canyon road downstream further to Coal Creek’s confluence with Lime Creek (there may be a trail) you will find that just upstream from this confluence on Lime Creek is Adrenaline Falls, popular with kayakers.

Also, on the route of highway 550 known as the Million Dollar Highway which runs between Silverton and Ouray, you will see other waterfalls besides this one, including two distant waterfalls from the viewpoint and rest area at Coal Bank Pass, falls on the Uncompahgre River, Bear Creek falls, falls on Ralston Creek opposite Bear Creek Falls, and Cascade Falls at Ouray.
