Niagara Gulch Falls Niagara Gulch Falls at Eureka Niagara Gulch Falls and Animas River Niagara Gulch Falls in 3D

Nigara Gulch Falls can also be seen nearby the ghost town site of Eureka, an eight mile drive east from the narrow gauge railroad destination town of Silverton Colorado.

Niagara Gulch Falls viewing point west of the Animas River nearby the Sunnyside Mill site is best for views of the tallest drop in the waterfall.

At other vantage points the falls may be obscured by the recessed deep canyon through which it flows.

Further upstream along the Animas River the roadway begins a steep ascent to the ghost town of Animas Forks.

You may also view Cinnamon Creek Falls across the Animas River from the roadway before reaching Animas Forks.

Above the falls of Niagara Gulch are two peaks, Crown Mountain and Niagara Peak, both thirteeners.

The best time to view the falls is at the peak of the spring snow melt.

By late summer the falls may be only a trickle.
