Twin Falls

submitted by Philipp Merillat on March 17, 2023

The World of Waterfalls has been to this waterfall, which you can read about here.
Twin Falls and Middle Twin Lake Twin Falls and Upper Twin Lake

Twin Falls at Mammoth Lakes has unique viewing points across the three lakes below the falls, with a hiking trail to the base of the falls from the southern most and upper most of these lakes. With a view from the middle of these lakes, you can see Crystal Crag in the distance above the falls. With a view from the upper of these lakes below the falls, the Crystal Crag is obscured by the hill which the falls cascades from. The top of the falls has a view of the three lakes below the falls which are known as Twin Lakes. Also at the top of the falls, on the other side of Lake Mary Road, is a view of Lake Mamie with the Crystal Crag on the other side of the lake. For camping you can find Twin Lakes campground to the west of the upper of the lakes. At the south of this campground is the trailhead to the base of the falls.
