Wapama Falls

submitted by Brian Jeppesen on September 20, 2016

This post was in response to Wapama Falls

I have seen your top 10 list and it is hard to debate the choices. That being said, I would take Wapama Falls over a number of the Yosemite Falls including Bridalveil Falls I would put it near the top of the list. So what does Yosemite Falls (and others) have that Wapama doesn’t have. Billions of people. I too have reached Wapama Falls when it was at high water, flowing over 3.5 of the 7 bridges. 2 of my kids just sat down on the first bridge and splashed in the water. My daughter and I carefully walked all the way across.

I was happy to see McCloud River Falls on your list and Burney Falls, though I think Burney should be placed much higher. And from Burney, it is a short drive to Alpine Frostie in Burney CA for huge ice cream cones.

With Alamere Falls, there is no need for McVay falls to be on your list. Just mention it on the Alamere page.
