About Saut du Bouchot
The Saut du Bouchot was one of the more straightforward waterfalls to experience as it was a mere 50m walk to view the grande cascade (i.e. “big waterfall” though you could argue this waterfall wasn’t big at all).
Although it was quite trivial to go from the nearest parking area (see directions below) to a viewing bench looking right down at the waterfall, the trail kept going.

So continuing another 50m or so, the trail descended to the level of le Bouchot, where there was a footbridge as well as a spur trail continuing further downstream along the southern banks of the stream.
On the other side of the bridge, I saw people chilling out in the stream as well as scrambling up a rock slope to get up to the uppermost tier of the “big waterfall” (something I didn’t do) for a more intimate experience with the Saut du Bouchot.
Anyways, the fact that there was a “big waterfall” also meant that there was a little waterfall, and indeed, it was a mere 250m of additional hiking to reach it by continuing along the trail along the north bank of le Bouchot.
Unlike the Saut du Bouchot’s grande cascade, which was deemed “big” because it was on the larger watercourse of le Bouchot, the petite cascade was on a separate stream (i.e. the Canal de l’Usine).

The fact that its watercourse had “canal” in its name, suggested that it might be sourced by water diverted from le Bouchot further upstream.
I also noticed that there was a pile of rocks at the base of the petite cascade seeking to steer the water in a certain manner before rejoining le Bouchot (further reinforcing the man-made characteristic of this waterfall).
Continuing another 100m further downstream beyond the petite cascade du Saut du Bouchot, I then encountered a curious rock formation called la Pierre du Chasseur.
This was a small pinnacle formation right by le Bouchot with signage identifying it.

Even though the trail continued further downstream, this rock was my turnaround point, and I ultimately ended up back at the trailhead parking for a round-trip hiking distance of 800m taking me about 30 minutes (pauses and all).
Finally, it was also worth mentioning that while most visitors experienced the grande cascade and the footbridge downstream of its base, far fewer people went to the petite cascade (let alone the Pierre du Chasseur).
