About Unnamed Twin Falls
The Unnamed Twin Falls is what I’m calling this attractive waterfall (borrowed from The Ultimate Kauai Guidebook).
I noticed this waterfall while looking for a way to photograph the Kalihiwai Falls without trespassing.
This waterfall happened to be more interesting and also not as life threatening to see for I was able to see it before even getting onto the Kalihiwai River Bridge.
Apparently, there’s another waterfall further downstream of this one (probably why it was a “twin” waterfall), but it wasn’t visible from the highway.
It’d probably require a kayak on the Kalihiwai River to see its lower tier.
However, I didn’t do the kayak so this is merely an educated guess.
Authorities
To my knowledge, the Unnamed Twin Falls is not administered by any official authority. For information or inquiries about the general area as well as current conditions, you may want to try visiting the Department of Land and Natural Resources (DLNR) website.
See the Kalihiwai Falls page for directions.
To give you some context, this falls was near Kilauea, which was 25 miles (45 minutes drive) north of Lihue or 7 miles (15 minutes drive) east of Princeville.
