About Lower North Falls
Lower North Falls was probably the least scenic of all the waterfalls bearing the name “North Falls” in Silver Falls State Park.
This one was more of a sliding waterfall said to have a cumulative height of around 30ft with lots of fallen logs resting on its main drop.
This was also probably the furthest of the waterfalls to reach on the Trail of Ten Falls regardless of which trailhead we started from.
Since we visited this waterfall from the Winter Falls car park, we had to hike a little over a mile away from that trailhead (though we did get to pass by several waterfalls on the way).
Lower North Falls resides in Silver Falls State Park near Salem in Marion County, Oregon. It is administered by the Oregon Parks and Recreation Department. For information or inquiries about the area as well as current conditions, visit their website.
This waterfall shares the same car park as Winter Falls.
